- Click Awards & Agreements > Award Interpreter (e-Award™).
- Click New.
- Enter a Description for the Shift you are setting up (eg. Monday to Thursday, 7am to 3pm)
- Click Shift Profile.
- Navigate to Shift Days
- Select the days this shift is applicable to (eg. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).
- Navigate to Shift Rules.
- Select Use Grace Period? if you wish to allow your Employees a grace period with their start and finish times.
- Select Add Breaks Scans if none found and total shift hours is equal or more than XX:XX hours if you would like e-Award™ to automatically insert the defined Break Times (Break 1, Break 2 and Break 3) where the total number of hours for the day exceeds the amount you define.
- Select Floating Breaks? if the Employees does not have a designated lunch break time, however, they must take one or more Unpaid Breaks throughout the day. The amount of time that will be deducted from their daily hours is required to be defined in Break 1, Break 2 and Break 3.
- Floating Breaks? will only be available once Use Grace Period? is selected.
- Navigate to Total Shift Hours
- Enter the Shift and Break Start and End Times including the Grace Period (if required).
- Select Use Fixed Daily Hours of XX:XX when total hours are between XX:XX and XX:XX hours if you would like to automatically round and employees total hours worked for the day to the amount defined where it falls between your defined times.
- Select Round Clock In and define the rules you require if you would prefer to round times as opposed to using a Grace Period.
- Select Round Clock Out and define the rules you require if you would prefer to round times as opposed to using a Grace Period.
- Click Pay Type Allocations.
- Navigate to Pay Rate Allocation
- In Base, select the first Pay Rate that will be paid on the Shift hours as set in Shift Profile.
- If required, in Allocation 2, select the first Pay Type that will be paid after a certain number of hours or after a specific time of day.
- If required, in Allocation 3, select the second Pay Type that will be paid after a certain number of hours or after a specific time of day.
- If required, in Allocation 4, select the third Pay Type that will be paid after a certain number of hours or after a specific time of day.
- If required, in Allocation 5, select the fourth Pay Type that will be paid after a certain number of hours or after a specific time of day.
- If required, navigate to Allowance Allocation
- If required, in Allocation 1, select the first Allowance that will be paid after a certain number of hours or after a specific time of day.
- If required, in Allocation 2, select the first Allowance that will be paid after a certain number of hours or after a specific time of day.
- If required, in Allocation 3, select the first Allowance that will be paid after a certain number of hours or after a specific time of day.
- If required, in Allocation 4, select the first Allowance that will be paid after a certain number of hours or after a specific time of day.
- Click Save
