The Accrual Calculator displays the TOTAL Accrued, TOTAL Taken, YTD Taken, Current Balance and Estimated Balance for each Accrual.
The Estimated Balance is calculated by the Total Hours Worked (THW) which has been entered when processing pay runs, multiplied by the Hourly Entitlement (HE) for each leave accrual which is set in the Award or Agreement they are linked to LESS any Leave Taken (LT) which has also been entered when processing pay runs.
Therefore: THY x HE – LT
Using the above formula: If THW is 8657.19, HE is 0.07666 and LT is 602.7433, The total outstanding balance for Annual Leave is 60.9168 hours.
