Adding layers to your map is now even more versatile with the expanded format support in our software. Follow the updated tutorial below to add GIS layers, including the newly supported formats:
1. Launch our software and open the map where you want to add layers.
2. Look for the “Add Layer” button and click on it. This button allows you to add GIS layers to your map.
3. A pop-up window will appear, providing options for selecting the GIS files you want to add. In this window, you can navigate to the location where your GIS files are stored.
4. Choose the desired GIS file(s) to be added to the map. The newly supported formats are:
• Access Files (*.mdb, *.lyr, *.lpk, *.pkinfo)
• AutoCAD DWG (*.dwg)
• AutoCAD (*.dxf)
• Dataset (*.adf)
• GeoJSON (*.json, *.geojson)
• Shape Files (*.shp)
• Image Files (*.img, *.bmp, *.jpg, *.jpeg, *.png, *.gif, *.tif, *.tiff, *.bil, *.bip, *.bsq, *.dt0, *.dt1, *.dt2, *.lan, *.gis, *.jp2, *.sid, *.raw, *.ntf, *.dem, *.xpm, *.map, *.pix, *.jpc, *.j2k, *.j2c, *.hdf, *.kaf, *.ecw)
• XYZ Point Cloud data (*.xyz, *.asc)
Note: You can select multiple files by holding down the Ctrl (Windows) or Command (Mac) key while clicking on the files.
5. After selecting the GIS file(s), click the “Open” or “Add” button (depending on the interface) to add the chosen layer(s) to your map.
6. The selected layers, whether vector or raster files like Digital Elevation Model (DEM), will now be added to your map and displayed according to their geographic information.
