12.1.2.1.1.9.2. Gantt Chart – Control Governance

In the Grid tab of the Form / Behavior / Control window, users can configure properties that govern the functionality of grid controls.

1. Enable Edit: This is a checkbox which, if selected, allows users to enable edit mode for the control.
   • If this checkbox is selected, it will enable the Edit Form field.
     • Edit Form: This is a single-select dropdown field that retrieves the list of form behaviors (from the Form Behavior section of the Forms module). It allows users to select the form behavior linked to the control’s ‘edit’ functionality.
       • To define a new form behavior, select the button.
         • It will display the Form Behavior Properties window.
       • To modify an existing form behavior, select the button.
       • To remove a form behavior, select the button.
         

         !!To set up the ‘Edit Form’, users only need to provide a name and a title.

*With Edit enabled, users can edit the chart data in a modal window linked to the control. Users can access the ‘Edit Form’ by double-clicking on an item or task in the control.

2. Enable Import from Excel: This is a checkbox which, if selected, allows users to enable both the Excel Template and Import from Excel functions for the control.
   • If this checkbox is selected, it will enable the Import Form field.
     • Import Form: This is a single-select dropdown field that retrieves the list of starter form behaviors (from the Form Behavior section of the Forms module). It allows users to select the form behavior linked to the control’s ‘inline add’ functionality.
       • To define a new form behavior, select the button.
         • It will display the Form Behavior Properties window.
       • To modify an existing form behavior, select the button.
       • To remove a form behavior, select the button.
         

         !!To set up the ‘Import Form’, users only need to provide a name, a title, and select the Starter checkbox.

*When this option is enabled, users can download an Excel template that contains the appropriate column headers for the control, and then populate the template with their data. Users can then upload the completed template into the control to import the data.

3. Enable Export from Excel: This is a checkbox which, if selected, allows users to enable the Export to Excel function for the control.

*When this option is enabled, users can export the data from the control into an Excel file.

4. Enable Select: This is a checkbox which, if selected, allows users to enable the selection of chart data from another form using a dropdown control.

*When this option is enabled, users can interact with a Gantt chart displayed in a separate form and select items by double-clicking on them. The selected value will then be returned and populated in the associated dropdown control.

5. Apply: This button allows users to save their changes.
6. OK: This button allows users to save their changes and close the window.
7. Cancel: This button allows users to cancel their changes and close the window.
