Step 1 – Set Up Prerequisites
Before setting up the BPMS environment or platform, users must first install the prerequisites.
- Download and install Visual Studio 2022 Community.
- Download and install SQL Server 2019 Developer Edition.
- When installing, select Mixed (SQL Server and Windows) Authentication mode.

- Download and install SQL Server Management Studio.
- Enable Internet Information Services (IIS).
- Open the Windows Start menu and search for “Turn Windows features on or off”. Click on the corresponding option to open the Windows Features window.
- Expand the Internet Information Services node.

Step 2 – Set Up BPMS Platform
Once all prerequisites have been installed, users can set up the BPMS platform.
- Run BPMS Setup.
- Install all modules (select all options in Features installer).
- For the Database module: create a new database, input the DB username (ray) and password.
- For the Admin Console (Designer) module: if possible, install into the Program Files folder.
- For the Web Application module: create a new web application, enable SSL, do not enable SSO (Single Sign-On).
- For the Database module: create a new database, input the DB username (ray) and password.
- Install all modules (select all options in Features installer).
- Run BPMS.
- To validate if your IIS website is working, open a web browser and enter the following:
- https://localhost/dbp/
- Default Credentials: admin/admin
