In the Form Designer, users can now remove the reserved space used for a control’s caption when no caption is specified. This new option can be found in the Caption Appearance category of the Control Properties Panel, and provides greater flexibility for aligning controls on a form.
- Keep Reserved Space for Caption: This is a checkbox which, if selected, allows users to reserve space for the control’s caption even when there is no caption set.
To illustrate this improvement, consider the following example:
- If the caption for the the first single-select dropdown control (currently labelled Category) is removed and the Keep Reserved Space for Caption checkbox is selected, it will appear as follows:
