12.6. Dropdown Data Sources

In the Dropdown Data Source section of this module, users can create dropdown data sources for the application.

To manage dropdown data sources in the application, take the following steps:

1. From the Application Tree, navigate to Forms > Dropdown Data Sources (double-click to open). It will display the Dropdown Data Sources tab and expand the menu bar to show additional options.
   

*In this tab, users can access a list of all dropdown data sources defined for the application. For guidance on how to manipulate the data presented in this tab, click here.

2. From the menu bar, select the desired option.
   
   • New: This button allows users to define a new dropdown data source.
     • If selected, it will display the Query Editor window.
   • Delete: This button allows users to delete an existing dropdown data source.
     • To use this function, first select a dropdown data source from the list.
   • Edit : This button allows users to edit an existing dropdown data source.
     • To use this function, first select a dropdown data source from the list.
   • Refresh : This button allows users to refresh the Dropdown Data Sources tab.
   • Close: This button allows users to close the Dropdown Data Sources tab.

*Users can also create a dropdown data source directly within the properties of the corresponding dropdown. For more information on how to create dropdown data sources in this way, click here.

!When defining dropdown data sources, be sure to use meaningful names that clearly identify their purpose and contents.
