16.3. Connections

In the Connections section of this module, users can create connections between the application and external databases.

*These database connections can be used to define dropdown data sources as well as KPI data sources.

To manage database connections in the program, take the following steps:

1. From the Application Tree, navigate to Integration > Connections (double-click to open). It will display the Connections tab and expand the menu bar to show additional options.
   

*In this tab, users can access a list of all defined database connections for the application. For guidance on how to manipulate the data presented in this tab, click here.

2. From the menu bar, select the desired option.
   
   • New: This button allows users to define a new database connection.
     • If selected, it will display the Connect to Database window.
   • Delete: This button allows users to delete an existing database connection.
     • To use this function, first select a database connection from the list.
   • Edit : This button allows users to edit an existing database connection.
     • To use this function, first select a database connection from the list.
   • Refresh : This button allows users to refresh the Connections tab.
   • Close: This button allows users to close the Connections tab.
