Working With Ship Groups

You can use the Ship Groups feature to split an order into multiple shipments to multiple addresses of the customer. Using this feature, several shipments can be processed and delivered to several addresses, based on the same Sales Order. This will be particularly useful when customers have a centralized order process.

*In order to use Ship groups, you need to first set up the different delivery addresses of the customer in the Party master. Go to Party > Basic Configs > Profile > Contact Information section and click New Contact Info

A default Ship Group will be shown on the Shipping Details tab of the Sales Order during its creation. However, you need to fill in the required details for this group.

To add a new Ship Group, click ‘New Ship Group’ on the top right corner of the Shipping Details tab, shown above, and fill it in with the appropriate details, in the same manner as explained for Ship Group 1

With this, you have grouped your shipments by origin warehouse and customer address combination pairs. The groups that you have added would be shown under the ‘Shipping Information’ tab of the Sales Order, once it is created.

Based on this, shipments by Ship Group can be created by the Fulfillment user
