Once a return invoice is posted, it can be set off against one or more outstanding invoices on the customer.
Setting off can be done at ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE > Customer Adjustment. To start, click on the Create Customer Adjustment link
Search and list the invoices for the customer. From the invoices listed, select the Return Invoice/s and Sales Invoice/s to be mutually set off and click Adjust
The result of the adjustment is shown on the next screen, with document-level adjustment detail
