Click the Create Fixed Asset link on the home page to open the entry screen

Financials-GL-Create fixed asset-CREST ERP

The following are mandatory fields:

  1. Asset name
  2. Asset type
  3. Date acquired
  4. Purchase cost
  5. Purchase currency UOM
  6. Salvage value
  7. Expected life (Months)

The Purchase Cost, Salvage Value and Expected Life are used in computing depreciation. Next service date must be always manually updated.

Click Create to add the asset to the Register and a unique Asset ID gets assigned to it. Additional detail tabs are enabled once the asset is saved
