Ship Groups have been explained briefly under Shipping Details. This section will elaborate it further.

You can have several Ship Groups in the same Order. However, any facility/warehouse can only be used with one Ship Group in a Purchase Order. If you have created virtual zones in your warehouse, or if your warehouse is multi-storied, each floor can be used as a ‘Child’ facility of the main warehouse. These child facilities can be used in Ship Groups, which gives everyone involved much more precise destination information for incoming shipments.

When you create a Ship Group, you can also give it a date range for delivery, using the Ship Before and Ship After dates

In the following illustration, three Ship Groups have been created for three floors of a warehouse and delivery window assigned

This is how the Purchase Order looks like for the order items

The Shipping Information section shows the Ship Before and Ship After dates.

With this, you can now schedule shipping by creating Shipments
