Ideally, an Opportunity should lead to a sale. Therefore, the next step for an Opportunity naturally would be to offer a Sales Quote to the prospect.
Once an Opportunity progresses to a status with a probability of over 50% in CREST CRM, the Create Quote link is enabled.
When you click the link, the Create Quote screen opens, pre-filled with details available on the Opportunity. If the Lead has already been converted to Account, its ID will be taken to the Quote. Otherwise, Lead information will be copied to the bottom panel.
The Quote can be processed in the usual manner. Refer Sales Quote
The status of the Opportunity is updated to “Quoted”.
To help track conversion, the Opportunity is cross-referenced to the Quote.
