PRODUCT CATEGORIES

Categories are used for classification of products based on their nature, usage, origin etc. These are static unless wrongly classified or reclassified. Categories should be defined taking into account the nature of the business. The same product could be classified differently by different entities.

Click Create New Category link on the Categories home screen to start off.

You must assign a Category ID and choose the Category Type. You can created nested Categories by choosing a Parent Category.

When you click Create, the Category is added and detail tabs become available.

Edit: Edit details other than ID. Provide URLs for Category image, and two images for Category link. You can also upload these images directly
Content: Add content of various type such as images, video, description etc.
Rollup: Add Parent and Child categories for the Category
Producs: Maintenance tab for Products under the Category
Catalogs: Assign the Category to one or more Catalogs
Features: Apply Features and Feature Groups to the Category
Parties: Associate one or more Parties to the Category
Attributes: Assign attributes to the Category
