Product Category GL Account Defaults

In this case, you can post transactions for specific product categories to GL accounts specific to those categories. This gives you an easy way to get consolidated data for product categories, overriding any default set up under GL Account Type Defaults

Just like in the case of Product GL Accounts, you can use this only if you have defined product category-specific GL accounts.

In the illustration below, we map sales of product category ‘Pillows’ to its own Sales A/c. All defaults are listed on the home page and can be updated or removed later.
