Quite often, there are dependencies among Production Runs. The output of a Production Run will be fed into another one, which in turn feeds another and so on. To illustrate, an Assembly run will depend on a Manufacturing run’s output, which may have to be sent to a Subcontractor for finishing processes, through a Subcontract run. Thus, the Manufacturing run becomes the preceding run for the Subcontract run, while the Assembly run becomes the latter’s succeeding run, so that the sequence is Manufacturing > Subcontract > Assembly.

To associate preceding and succeeding Dependent Production Runs, click Link To Production Run from the top menus of the Edit Production Run page.
