Updating an Activity with information on its progress shows whether it needs to be tracked or not. Listed below are the updates.
- Re-assignment to another team member
- Percentage completion
- Activity Status
- Estimated start/completion dates
- Actual start/completion dates
To re-assign an Activity, open the Activity and choose another User. Click Update to save changes.
Updating the Percentage Completion of an Activity gives an indication to the Manager and other team members of any hiccups in carrying it out. For instance, if an Activity still shows 0% completion even after a week of Scheduled Start Date, it has either been abandoned and needs to be closed or it could have been performed, but not updated in CREST CRM.

Estimated Start and Completion Dates for an Activity may have to updated if there is a change in the initial or subsequently updated schedule. However, a better practice would be to add the Actual Start and Completion Dates for the Activity, without changing the scheduled dates. The reasons for the interval between the two can be recorded as Notes to the Activity. This will reveal the practical difficulties that the team may be facing on an everyday basis in sales prospecting.
