Feature Category refers to a high-level attribute of a product, that can have features or sub-attributes under it that a customer can relate to. For example, in the case of Clothing, Clothing Size can be a Feature Category, with various sizes applicable to clothing as Features under it

These are defined in CREST ERP as shown below:
You can re-assign the Feature to another Feature Type or Category at any time. You can also change the listing order. Similarly, ID or Short name (abbreviation) can also be changed any time. Click Update to save changes.
You can see how the Feature Type and Category get linked over here. You must choose the Feature Type when adding a new Feature or Attribute under a Category.
To add a new Feature or Attribute, click the Create button with the number of Features to be added. Default is 1. Provide the ID code for the Feature and the order in which it has to be presented.
The new Feature or Attribute will be added to the Category when you click Create.
