Convert Quote To Order

There are two methods in CREST ERP to convert a Quote to a Sales Order:

1. By using the Create Order menu link on top
2. By updating the Quote status

*In either case, a Quote can be converted to Order only if sufficient stocks are available with the Facility on which the Quote has been booked. System will alert you if stocks are inadequate for any item and you will not be allowed to go ahead with the conversion. You can either amend the quantities or wait for stocks to arrive.

Method 1

If all items on the Quote are in stock, click the Create Order link and you will be taken to the Sales Order screen.

Create the Sales Order as explained in the following section New Sales Order.

Once the Sales Order is saved, the Quote will reference it automatically

Method 2

In this method, you only need to update the status of the Quote to ‘Complete Quote’ and the Sales Order will be automatically created.

The status of the Quote will change to Ordered

The new Order will be in the ‘Created’ status and will have to go through the usual approval process

*Choosing between the two methods
If you are following a Sales Order approval process in the business, go with Method 1. For smaller organisations without a clear department structure, Method 2 is ideal
