Filter
Junction with a Pump and a Conduit. The Junction is used to model the main structure of Filter. The Pump is used to model the treated flow from the Filter. The Conduit with a circular shape, a diameter of 1 and a length of 50 is used to model the bypass flow. Users should check these settings and make adjustment if needed.

The parameters of VOSWMM Junction are assigned as:

  • NHYD = Filter NHYD
  • Name = Filter Name
  • Other parameters keep as default as in VOSWMM.

The parameters of VOSWMM Pump used for treated flow are assigned as:

  • NHYD: Filter-NHYD[x]-Treated, where x is the NHYD of the Filter
  • Name: Filter-NHYD[x]-Treated, where x is the NHYD of the Filter
  • Pump type
    • Curve Type = TYPE4
    • Curve Name = Filter-NHYD[x]-Treated, where x is the NHYD of the Filter
    • Curve Table:
      Depth Flow
      0 Filter Treated flow

The parameters of VOSWMM Conduit used for bypass flow are assigned as:

  • NHYD: Filter-NHYD[x]-Bypass, where x is the NHYD of the Filter
  • Name: Filter-NHYD[x]-Bypass, where x is the NHYD of the Filter
  • Shape = Circular
  • Shape Full Depth= 1. Users should check this value and make adjustment if needed. Conduit Full Depth and Geom1 will be updated automatically in VOSWMM.
  • Length = 50. Users should check this value and make adjustment if needed.
  • Flap Gate = Yes
