Policy
Lifeguards need certain keys in order to complete daily tasks. Key 4 allows lifeguards to access towers, buggy storage room, signs in order to complete opening and closing procedures before and after each shift. Key 4 is attached to an SLSQ lanyard and it to be kept in the First Aid room all other times either on the desk or pin board.

- Immediately after the lifeguards have finished with the Key(s) they are to be returned to the First aid room
Keywatcher Procedure
To enter the Allgas Building/ First Aid room Lifeguards are to retrieve a keywatcher fob from keywatcher based in hallway of Allgas building.
All Lifeguards have their own designated code for keywatcher and are required to use this code to remove and return keys within keywatcher.
Note All new staff will be provided with a key watcher code to login, if you have forgotten or cannot locate your code, please contact your Supervisor to receive the code again.

Quick User Guide for Removal and Return of Keys / Changing PIN
Key Removal with USER I.D/PIN Number:
- Press any key on keypad to display the User ID and PIN prompt _ _ _ _ – _ _ _ _
- Type in your 4-digit User ID number followed by your 4-digit PIN – then press ENT
- At the REMOVE KEY prompt – Press ENT to select this function
- Type in the key number/s to remove e.g. To remove key 1 press 1 ENT+ ENT
- For additional keys simply type additional key numbers e.g., 1 ENT, 2 ENT, 3 ENT + ENT to remove keys 1, 2 & 3.
- Keywatcher will now prompt you to open the door.
- Remove Key Tag from the random illuminated position.
- Note: Each key tag will be released individually. If you have requested for more than 1 key the next key will illuminate after you have removed the first key.
- Close the door immediately to prevent the door alarm from sounding.
Key Returns with USER I.D/PIN Number:
- Press any key on keypad to display the User ID and PIN prompt _ _ _ _ – _ _ _ _
- Type in your 4-digit User ID number followed by your 4-digit PIN – then press ENT
- Scroll down using the 8 button ↓ to cursor down to RETURN KEY – then press ENT
- Keywatcher will now prompt you by beeping to open the door after is has checked available slots.
- Return the key tags with the straight edge facing up into any vacant slot.
- Note: As the keys are being returned it will register with a beep and display the key number that you just returned. i.e., Key 1 Returned.
- Close the door immediately to prevent the door alarm from sounding.
(If you do not see the key tag number display on the screen as being returned then this means that you have not returned the key tag properly or the sensors on the tag are dirty. Please refer to the service & maintenance information)
User instructions for Changing PIN
- Press any key on keypad to display the User ID and PIN prompt _ _ _ _ – _ _ _ _
- Type in your 4-digit User ID number followed by your 4-digit PIN – then press ENT
- At the Remove Key prompt – Press the 8 buttons ↓ to cursor down to Change PIN Prompt then press ENT to select this function.
- Type in your new 4-digit PIN Number + ENT
- Type in and verify again your 4-digit PIN Number + ENT
