Purpose
The below procedure will assist lifeguards understand the rostering procedure and how to swap a shift.
Procedure
Rosters:
Rosters are generally completed on a 4-weekly basis. Each shift will come attached with some accompanying explanatory notes of shift times and other relevant information if required.
To be considered for work, availabilities must be submitted by the date identified by the Supervisor. The roster will be issued prior to the start of the new roster.
Staff will not be guaranteed shifts if they:
- Submit late availabilities.
- Do not meet satisfactory work performance.
- Do not meet fitness performance standards.
- Do not have current qualifications up to date.
- Disagree with operational guidelines.
Shift Swaps: (regionalized info required)
If you cannot make a shift or require a swap of a shift, the following procedure should be followed:
- As soon as the problem/ swap arises, you should contact the Lifeguard Supervisor immediately to advise the changes required.
