27.5. LGS SEQ 005 Sign On and Sign Off

Purpose

Signing on and off with Surf Com via LIMSOC is essential to let Surf Com you are on duty and on time. The following procedure outlines the process to follow.

Procedure

Sign On –
Sign on with Surfcom must occur immediately via LIMSOC
Surfcom will request a radio check shortly after you log on with LIMSOC

Example:

Surfcom:
“ Woorim Beach Lifeguard, this is Surfcom, requesting a radio check”

Woorim Beach ifeguard:
“Surfcom, Woorim Beach Lifeguard reading you loud and clear.”

Surfcom:
“Woorim Beach Lifeguard, reading you loud and clear also thank you. Surfcom out.”

Sign Off –
Sign off with Surfcom must occur within 5 minutes of the sign off time via LIMSOC.
