30.3.3. LGS SGC 3.0.3 Storage of Lifeguard Equipment

Policy

To prolong the life of lifeguard equipment it is important that it is stored correctly.

Procedures

At the completion of each shift:

Soft pack – The soft pack is to be returned to the storage area.

Spinal Board – The spinal board is to be returned to the storage area.

Radios – The radios are to be returned to the first aid room, turned off and placed on charge.

Radio Bags – Radios are to be removed from the bags, and bags placed next to the chargers in the place provided.

Bum Bags – Bum bags are to be returned to the storage area.

Rain Jackets – Jackets are to be hung up in the storage area for drying.
