DAILY DUTIES WEEKDAYS

  • Supporting statements must be filled out immediately after reports and attached to respective reports.
  • Gather rubbish from BEACH and surrounds – place in rubbish bins.
  • Maintain public relations and educate patrons of regulations, laws and rules Maintain security of tower and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean working environment.

  • Carry out other duties and complete within time given as instructed by Supervisor.
  • The observation area of Noosa West tower is everything from the Western Patrol flag/Bistro C through to the Rivermouth. Often it is easier for Noosa West to respond with SSV to incidents outside Patrol area than it is for Noosa Lifeguards to respond. This is due to the congregation of people making it difficult for Noosa SSV to negotiate the crowd.
  • Conduct regular SSV patrols including:
    • Preventative Actions for example moving people out of rips
    • Education
    • First Aid
    • Moving signage as tide rises and falls
    • Performing rescues as required
  • Noosa West lifeguard only to leave their post for toilet break, lunch rotation or to back up Noosa flagged area in an emergency.
  • If leaving area for extended time frame in non-emergency, Noosa West is to ensure that a lifeguard from Noosa is ready to relieve them. For example, do not rove to Noosa for a rest pause or lunch rotation without phoning Noosa to arrange a swap.
