24.17. LGS RWL 3.3 Storage of Lifesaving Equipment

Purpose

To prolong the life of lifesaving equipment it is important that it is stored correctly.

Procedures

At the completion of each shift:
Soft Packs – to be returned to the first aid room and stored neatly.
Spinal Board – to be returned to the secure area and stored neatly.
Mobile phone – to be returned to the first aid room and placed on charge.
Radios – to be returned to the first aid room, turned off and placed on charge.
Quik-Shades – to be collapsed on pool deck and returned to the secure area and stored neatly.
Rescue Tubes – to be returned to secure area and stored neatly.
Signage – to be returned to the secure area and stored neatly.
