Lifeguards shall have a minimum requirement of equipment (as listed below) on patrol. Patrol equipment shall be in position at the scheduled time of patrol and remain on duty throughout the duration of the patrol. All patrol gear and equipment shall be in a serviceable condition and ready for immediate use. If you notice any patrol gear and equipment in need of repair or replacement inform your lifeguard Supervisor as soon as possible and record the details in your daily diary. During peak periods additional equipment may be required.

All lifeguard will be issued with a patrol uniform. Lifeguards are responsible for the security and upkeep of their uniform. If your uniform is old and no longer looks presentable or is lost or damaged contact your Lifeguard Supervisor immediately to arrange replacements.
Employees are responsible for their own sun safety. (Refer to Section 15 – Risk Management Guidelines for more information)
