Please follow the following procedures to help maintain a safe bathing reserve should you be approached by net fisherman wanting to do a shot.

  1. Advise members of the public via P.A within the bathing reserve that the beach will be closing for a short period of time.
  2. Place all flags and Lifeguard equipment in a safe place.
  3. A minimum of 15 minutes has to be given by both parties to ensure the safety of the patrons.

  5. If you think operations are not being completed in a safe manner, or have not allowed enough time, please note this in the daily diary, take photos, then call Lifeguard Supervisor as well as contact surf com to create an incident report on LIMSOC.
  6. Only reopen beach when all boats and vehicles are well clear and it is safe to reopen.
