The following procedures outline your reporting responsibilities both on a daily basis and when an incident occurs. For further enquiries, contact your Lifeguard Supervisor or Regional Operations Manager in your area. Refer to Lifeguard Service Contact List – Introduction.

How to Input Data into LIMSOC
LIMSOC stands for Lifesaving Incident Management System Operations Control, this is the online data collection and incident reporting platform that is used across SLSQ. To use this system lifeguards will be given access to either a smart phone or a tablet to log in and complete their daily statistics, recue information and incident report logging.

LIMSOC is an ever-evolving system which requires all users to stay up to date with changes. The changes will be outlined via communication from the State Communications Centre. If you have suggested changes please contact your Lifeguard Supervisor or State Communications Centre.

Daily Diary
Each lifeguard service location will have a daily diary on site. Lifeguards on duty are required to document as much relevant information in each section of the daily diary as possible.
The following information MUST be recorded each day:

  • Name of lifeguards on duty
  • Beach Report – this is to include ALL information that is on your Beach Report
  • The Oxy-viva / soft pack and Defibrillator checks
  • Vehicle check
  • Rescue water craft check (where applicable)
  • Signature of the lifeguard on duty
