28.39. LGS NSI 039 Jet Ski + Rescue Board Damage

Introduction

The continual use of the boards and Jet Skis can lead to damage. This needs to be fixed as soon as possible.

Policy

Supervisor is to be called to get damage repaired.

Procedure

• Write down damage in work diary
• Advise Senior Lifeguard of damage
• Ring lifeguard supervisor to inform of the damage
• Arrange a time to take board or Jet Ski over
• Supervisor will inform lifeguards when ski/ board will be taken off the island and when replacement will be in operation

If you damage equipment don’t be afraid to follow procedure. Honesty is key.
