28.30. LGS NSI 030 Beach Safety Signage

Introduction

Beach Safety Signage is an important part of the total lifesaving systems in place on North Stradbroke Island. There is a comprehensive signage system in place across all the beaches on the island, thus it is important that this system is maintained and monitored.

Procedures

All lifeguards are to immediately report any damage, graffiti or missing signage to their supervisor so that this can be passed on to council to ensure the signs are kept in suitable condition.
