24.9. LGS RWL 2.2 Mobile Phones

Purpose

It is a requirement that all Lifeguards be aware that while performing their duties, and in the provision of the service, they are not to take any action which could be detrimental to TCC, Surf Life Saving Qld, and the Australian Lifeguard Service. Nor should any action bring a negative view from the general public.

Procedure

Mobile phones are not to be taken to the ‘Water Area’ while a Lifeguard is on duty. They are not to be placed on silent and kept in bum bags (Work mobile phone not included).
