14. LGOM 014 – Adverse Weather Conditions

Lifeguards need to be aware of the procedures to be followed in event of adverse weather conditions. These weather conditions can develop quickly. Lifeguards need to ensure their own safety as well as the safety of members of the public is not put at risk whilst responding to these conditions. The procedures relating to Lightning, Tsunami’s and Cyclones are outlined in the following policies.
