Introduction
Surf Life Saving Queensland Lifeguard Service and the Point lookout SLSC share equipment and facilities. This allows for the most efficient delivery of lifesaving services on North Stradbroke Island.
Policy
The following procedures are to be followed in order to ensure that SLSQ Lifeguard service and the Point Lookout SLSC shared gear and equipment is kept in good condition, and ready for use in all instances.
Procedures
The following Equipment is shared between Point Lookout SLSC and SLSQ Lifeguard Service –
- 1x Defibrillator
- One 4wd Vehicle
- Red & Yellow Flags/ Feathers Red & Yellow Flags Stands
- Surf Craft Rider Signs and flags.
- Power Craft Launch area signs and witches’ hats. Hazard Signs
- Danger No Swimming Signs Beach Reports Spike Board Beach Reports Sandwich Board
- Yellow Flag, Red Flag, Shark Flag and Poles Fins
- Spinal Boards First Aid Rooms Rescue Tubes
- Rescue Board Stands
- Hand Held Radios (During busy periods hand held radios may be shared)
All equipment is to be cleaned and returned to the correct storage point ready for use by the other party on the last day of each stint of service delivery.
In the case of damage to any shared equipment please report this to your supervisor immediately for rectification.
