Introduction

In the event that Lifeguard numbers are excessive for the number of swimmers. Lifeguards can restrict their shifts to ensure operational effectiveness. If this is the case the following is to take place.

Procedure

  • The Senior Lifeguard is to make the decision whether Lifeguards need to restrict their shifts.
  • Permission needs to be sought from both the Security and Lifeguard Supervisor South East Queensland before any Lifeguard leaves. Where the Lifeguard Supervisor is not contactable then the Lifeguard Supervisor South Bank is to be contacted.

No Lifeguard is to leave before the Lifeguard Supervisor and Security is contacted and and approval given.
