26.28. LGS SSC 028 Location Description – Boardwalk

Storage Address: Breeze the Boardwalk Boardwalk Blvd Mount Coolum midweek and Marcoola SLSC Marcoola Esplanade, Marcoola on weekends
Tower Address: Breezeway Street Mount Coolum Beach Access 96

MORNING
Weekends
Lifeguard 1

• A Lifeguard starts at the Marcoola SLSC and completes the below
• Keys are in a lockbox next to the rear door on the eastern side of the surf club
• All equipment is stored in the northern garage of the Marcoola SLSC
• Collect ATV and Jet Ski (weekends only), emergency equipment, signage and flags from Marcoola SLSC
• A radio will be in a white lock box next to the northern roller door under the Surf Club
• Keys for the Boardwalk tower are in a lockbox on the Lifeguard tower
• Proceed carefully north to the Boardwalk Lifeguard tower along the beach
• Follow generic set up from this point

Lifeguard 2

• A Lifeguard starts at the Boardwalk storage shed on the western side of Breeze resort. The key lock box is on the fence post next to the garage door
• All communications equipment (phone and radio) will be in storage shed at Breeze resort
• Keys for the Boardwalk tower are in a lockbox on the tower
• Proceed to the Boardwalk Lifeguard tower by walking down beach access 96
• Follow generic set up from this point

Midweek
Lifeguards 1&2

• Both Lifeguards start at the Boardwalk storage shed on the western side of Breeze resort. The key lock box is on the fence post next to the garage door
• Signage and flags are located at the Boardwalk Lifeguard tower
• All communications equipment (phone and radio) will be in storage shed at Breeze resort
• Keys for the Boardwalk tower are in a lockbox on the tower
• A Lifeguard will proceed to the Boardwalk Lifeguard tower by walking down beach access 96
• A Lifeguard will take the ATV on the route given by the Lifeguard Supervisor toward Marcoola SLSC
• Proceed carefully north to the Boardwalk Lifeguard tower along the beach
• Follow generic set up from this point
  

AFTERNOON
Weekends
Lifeguard 2

• Follow generic close
• A Lifeguard will return to Boardwalk storage shed via Beach Access 96
• Place all communications equipment (phone and radio) back on charge
• Ensure keys are placed back in lock box
  

AFTERNOON
Midweek
Lifeguard 1

• Follow generic close
• A Lifeguard will return the ATV via Marcoola SLSC to wash down and replenish fuel
• A Lifeguard will take the ATV on the route given by the Lifeguard Supervisor toward the Boardwalk storage shed
• Place radio back on charge
• Ensure keys are placed back in lock box
  

AFTERNOON
Midweek
Lifeguard 2

• Follow generic close
• A Lifeguard will return to Boardwalk storage shed via Beach Access 96
• Place all communications equipment (phone and radio) back on charge
• Ensure keys are placed back in lock box
