Mudlo rocks are located just north of the Rainbow Beach bathing reserve and present a hazard for 4WD access to the beach leading to Double Island Point due to soft sand and uneven rocks.

Lifeguards must not attempt to drive past these rocks if the senior lifeguard deems that the tide is too high or that water is coming up over the rocks. Lifeguards most also refrain from assisting cars that get stuck on these rocks due to the risk of losing the lifeguard vehicle.
