DAILY DUTIES
Lifeguard daily diary to be filled out as day progresses and incidents occur. Supporting statements must be filled out immediately after reports and attached to respective reports.
Gather rubbish from Waterpark and surrounds – place in rubbish bins.
Maintain public relations and educate patrons of regulations, laws and rules
Maintain security of storage shed and Lifeguard tower.
Maintain a clean working environment
Report all situations that require assistance
Check First Aid kit, communication equipment, rescue equipment, stretcher/ board and other rescue equipment report any repairs required or equipment for re-stock to NBB Lifeguard Supervisor.
Re-stock First Aid supplies as required.
Gather lost property, log and forward to roving lifeguard.
Carry out other duties and complete within time given as instructed by NBB Lifeguard Supervisor.
All gear and equipment used each day is to be cleaned/maintained thoroughly before packing away in a neat and tidy fashion in the storage shed
Any gear & equipment that is damaged, missing or inoperable is to be reported to the NBB Lifeguard Supervisor immediately.
Monitor and supervise slide use as required.
Lifeguards to position themselves on the western side of the park as much as possible, rotating around park so as to observe as much of the park area as possible.
When more than one lifeguard is rostered split up as much as practically possible and watch separate sides of the area.
Notify Townsville Rove of any code brown incidents, erect signage and bollards located in pump room.
Ensure each Lifeguard has a radio on their person.
