The contents of a marine stinger drag kit are as follows:
- Copy of SLSQ Dangerous Marine Creature Risk Management Guidelines
- Copy of GBRMPA Permit
- Copy of DPI&F Permit
- Marine Stinger Netting Log
- Tide chart
- Stinger suits – sizes as required
- Wetsuit booties – sizes as required
- Disposable gloves – sizes as required
- Wetsuit gloves – 1-2 x M, 1-2 x XL (or sizes as required)
- Specimen jars and sealable plastic buckets – various sizes up to 10L as required
- Large clear collection bowl/jug – minimum 2L
- Duct tape and nikkko pen
- Packet of small cable ties (for net repairs)
- Atomiser spray bottle x 1 – for washing suits with vinegar
- 10L of vinegar (in addition to the vinegar on patrol and in the first aid room)
- 1 x Box Jellyfish drag net (dimensions as per permits) NB. 1 box jellyfish net may be shared between multiple sites according to local requirements
- 1 x Irukandji drag net (dimensions as per permits)
- Strainer (Optional)
- Magnifying glass
- Marine stinger ID charts
