28.25. LGS NSI 025 Emergency Access Gates

Policy

• Emergency access gates to all beaches are to remain closed at all times.
• Emergency access gates are to be closed and locked at the end of each shift.

Procedures

• Lifeguards are to use Key F20 to unlock the padlock on the gates at the start of their shift.
• Generally, the lifeguard will remain on the beach for the entire day however if the lifeguard does require to go on and off the beach they must ensure that the gate is closed (but not locked) behind them.
• Lifeguards are to ensure that the gates are closed and locked at the end of their shift.
