1. LGOM 001 – Introduction

The contents of this Lifeguard Operations Manual details the requirements for ALSQ lifeguard service operations and beach management plans.
All Lifeguards and Lifeguard Supervisors must be aware of the existence of the Lifeguard Operations Manual and are required to familiarise themselves with the content.
Ideally it should be located with other log books for easy access as a quick reference tool for all patrolling lifeguards.

Surf Life Saving Queensland commends the past efficiency of the Lifeguard Service operations throughout Queensland.
Our patrol statistics continue to show a positive trend in rescues while beach visitations and preventative actions continue to rise.
This indicates that our services are continuing to be proactive in their approach.
