Introduction
When a Lifeguard is approached by a patron with a complaint about the behaviour of a member of the public (e.g. inappropriate camera use or suspicious behaviour), the Lifeguard is to find out details before contacting ‘Control’.
Procedure
- Ask the patron whether they would like to make an official written complaint (if yes, direct them to the SBVC). If they do not wish to, inform them that we may only be able to observe the offending person.
- Inform ‘Control’ of complaint and whether or not surveillance or assistance is required.
- Lifeguards may approach people to politely inform them that their behaviour is making other patrons uncomfortable and suggest that they stop.
