LGS SB 2.7 Cleaning First Aid Room

Purpose

It is the responsibility of all Lifeguards to ensure that the First Aid Room is maintained in a clean and tidy state at all times.

Procedure

At the beginning and end of each shift all Lifeguards should ensure that the First Aid Room has been cleaned following the lifeguard’s tips and guidelines memo and Lifeguard in-charge (LG9) checklists.

No Lifeguard is allowed to leave personal belongings in the first aid room. They are to be stored in the Lifeguard breakroom, located near security control. Lifeguards are not to eat in the First Aid room.

Brooms, mop, dustpan, and brush are located in the First Aid Room. Cloths and detergent are located in the cupboard underneath the sink.

All Jackets/Wetsuits/Sun shirts/Spare uniforms are to be put away in their designated area at the end of the staff members shift unless wet. If Wetsuit/Sun shirt/Uniform are wet, they are to be hung on a coat hanger in shower, Radio bags/Jackets are to be hang on the roof rail along wall and returned once dry. All clothing and equipment must be returned to designated area once dry.

If there is anything that is broken or needs repairing, Lifeguards are to record in daily diary/LG9 Check list and let Lifeguard Supervisor know.
