Purpose
All usage of the South Bank ‘Water Area’ must be approved and facilitated by the City Parklands Services (CPS) and Brisbane Marketing. The Events team will notify the Lifeguard Supervisor of any planned events:
- Surf Life Saving Queensland approved events.
- Commercial promotions.
- Filming advertising/serial production.
- Social functions.
- Special events
Procedure
In the event of a non-approved activity taking place, the Lifeguard Supervisor or Senior Lifeguard is to first contact ‘Control’ and inform them of the activity, via channel 1 on the radio. ‘Control’ will then contact the appropriate persons or ask for the activity to cease. If the activity is directly related to Surf Life Saving then the Lifeguard Supervisor should also be contacted.
