LGS SB 5.16 Cleaning Water Area

Introduction

CPS include a ‘Contract for cleaning services’, whom are the primary cleaning service and responsible for the whole parklands including the ‘Water Area’.

However:
All Lifeguards are to ensure that the beach and adjoining areas are kept clean and tidy. This includes picking up non-contaminated rubbish and placing in the bin.

Procedure

If cleaning of the ‘Water Area’ is in need of immediate attendance (e.g. smashed bottle), the Lifeguard is to inform ‘Control’ of the conditions ensure the public safety and remain at the scene.

Please note:
Observation of the general public is the Lifeguards primary responsibility and should not be neglected in order to conduct beach cleaning duties.
