Introduction
As an ‘authorised person’ the Lifeguard is permitted to request and/or demand that an offender leave the ‘Water Area’ due to a breach of rules.
Procedure
Exclusion – The Lifeguard must: (not in exact words)
- Inform the offender that 2 previous warnings have been given and as a result of the person not complying with the rules they are being informed to leave the ‘Water Area’ (‘Water Area’ to be designated to offender).
- Inform ‘Control’ that they have asked a person from the ‘Water Area’ to leave the premises. (time period determined and issued by Security).
“The Lifeguard may exclude or skip the primary and/or secondary warnings if the offender has or is behaving in a disorderly manner to either the Lifeguard or the public and their safety”
“At any time should a Lifeguard feel threatened or intimidated by a member of the public they should contact ‘Control’ immediately”
Rejection of Exclusion
If an offender fails to comply with the request of the Lifeguard, Security are to be contacted (if not already) to attend and give assistance with the matter with the above information supplied.
