The Releasing Officer will receive an automated email notification from the Signatory or Delegated Signatory informing them of the selection of their staff member and requesting their release. The automated email includes a link to a secure webform and a password to access the webform.


The Releasing Officer that received the message may forward this email and assign another officer with delegated authority to take action. If the Releasing Officer assigned the Release Request to another officer with delegated authority, they should add in the comment box that they are signing on behalf of the original Releasing Officer, the original recipient of the Release Request.

In case the Releasing Officer assigned the Release Request to another delegated officer to take action, the automated notification to the Signatory/Delegated Signatory upon completion of the webform will be sent from the manually entered email address in the Release Request webform. Both original Releasing Officer and the Officer to whom action was delegated by the original Releasing Officer will be copied in this automated email.

Process the Release Request as follows:

  1. Click on the link and a security verification page is displayed.
  2. Enter the password provided in the notification email and click Continue.




    The Release Request and Release Advice corresponding with the Onboarding Method are displayed for the Releasing Officer review and action.



  3. For assignment cases, the Releasing Officer selects one of the two options presented in the Release Advice section, namely:
  • We are in a position to release the staff member
  • We are not in a position to release the staff member




    In case of reassignment/transfer, the Releasing Officer will only have one option, which is to indicate that they are in a position to release the staff member.
