1. Select the decision ‘We are in a position to release the staff member.
  2. Enter the tentative release date. This is mandatory.
  3. You may opt to enter an optional comment may be entered in the comment box.
  4. Add your first and last names and your email address, which are all mandatory.
  5. Click on Save and Submit.



  6. A validation pop-up message to confirm the submission of the decision on the Release Request opens. Click OK.



  7. A confirmation that the Release Advice has been submitted is displayed.



Clicking OK affixes the signature (name) of the Releasing Officer and the current date to the Release Request and sends an automated email to the Signatory or Delegated Signatory. The Offer Manager, Offer Facilitator and Releasing Officer are all copied in the email, as well as the Notification Recipients group, if selected.

In case the Releasing Officer assigned the Release Request to another delegated officer to take action, the latter will also be copied in the automated email to the Signatory or Delegated Signatory. In addition, the notification will be sent from the manually entered email address in the Release Request webform and not from the email address of the original Releasing Officer.
