The Signatory and/or Delegated Signatory are designated HR practitioners with delegated authority to sign the Release Request and/or Offer Documents. The Signatory field (mandatory) and Delegated Signatory fields (optional) are available in Steps 1, 2, 4 and 7. The Signatory and Delegated Signatory fields remain editable in Step 7 as long as the signatory has not yet signed the Offer. Updating the Signatory or Delegated Signatory in Step 7 also updates these fields in Steps 1, 2 and 4. The look-up values for the Signatory and Delegated Signatory fields are limited to those with the Offer Endorser role for the business unit or processing office.

In Steps 2 and 4, the Offer Signatory and Delegated Signatory fields are under the Administrative Details section

The Delegated Signatory field allows the Offer Facilitator or Offer Manager to select another authorized signatory to perform all signatory actions in inspira and sign on behalf of the Signatory. When the Delegated Signatory signs on behalf of the Signatory, the Delegated Signatory’s signature is affixed on the Offer or Release Request with a note that they are signing on behalf of the Signatory. However, the signature block on the Offer or Release Request shows the details of the Signatory.

The Signatory and Delegated Signatory fields remain editable in Step 7 as long as the signatory has not yet signed the Offer. Updating the Signatory or Delegated Signatory in Step 7 also updates these fields in Steps 1, 2 and 4.

The ability to make changes to the Signatory or Delegated Signatory field in Step 7 is useful in cases where the previously selected signatory is not (or no longer) available when the Offer is ready for review and signature, e.g., the signatory is on leave or has transferred to a different office.

When the Offer (or Release Request) has been submitted to the original signatory and a new Signatory or Delegated Signatory is selected, the original signatory receives a notification that the case has been reassigned and their edit/sign access is removed from the onboarding case; the original signatory will continue to have read access only. At the same time, the newly selected signatory receives a notification that the Offer (or Release Request) is ready for their review and signature.
