In the case of inspira selections, the automated selection notification sent to the candidate from inspira also requests the candidate to confirm their continued interest in the position. The candidate is directed to their inspira My Onboarding candidate portal (see My Onboarding Portal Job Aid), where they record their decision, upload any relevant documentation, such as a copy of their passport, and provide their availability date. (See Candidate Availability Date).

In the case of non-inspira selections, the process is managed directly by the Recruiter who follows up with the selected candidate to receive their confirmation of interest and coordinates with the Offer Facilitator to initiate an offer management case, including recording/uploading the selected candidate’s response along with the applicable required documentation.

After the candidate confirms continued interest in the position, they will be required to provide pertinent documentation and information over the course of the processing of their offer management case, including, but is not limited to the following:

  • The national passport
  • UNLP1 if applicable
  • Index Number2
  • Confirmation of the current employment status
  • Updated Candidate and Administrative Profile
  • Confirmation of the place of recruitment
  • Candidate contact details
  • Spouse passport, if applicable
  • Birth certificate of children, if applicable
  • Marriage certificate, if applicable
  • Divorce Decree, if applicable
  • Legal adoption documents for children, if applicable
  • Proof of residence for stepchildren living with the staff member, if applicable.
  • If any of the children are between age 18 and 21, proof of full-time school attendance needs to be furnished prior to travel.
  • For GS staff, results of the GGST3 or ASAT or other entry-level tests or examination, as appropriate to be attached
  • For temporary language staff (translators, interpreters and related), a professional domicile form needs to be completed.
  • For re-employment of former retired staff members, refer to the requirements stipulated in ST/AI/2003/8 (Retention in service beyond the mandatory age of separation and Employment of Retirees).
  • For current or former staff in the UN Common System, a copy of the latest PA indicating step increment should be uploaded to facilitate the review and determination of the step.

For applications submitted before September 2021, you may see the candidate’s PHP instead of the Candidate and Administrative Profiles.
